Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change my plan at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from your account settings. Changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. No penalties, no locked-in contracts.
What counts as one interview?
One interview is a single file or transcript — regardless of length or number of participants. A 90-minute session counts the same as a 15-minute one. Survey uploads are counted separately based on response volume.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. The Starter plan is free for your first 14 days with all features unlocked so you can evaluate the full platform. No credit card required to start.
What data formats does GetWhys accept?
We accept plain text (.txt), Word documents (.docx), PDFs, CSV exports, and direct integrations with Typeform, Google Forms, SurveyMonkey, Zoom transcripts, and Otter.ai. Audio and video upload (with AI transcription) is available on Pro and Scale plans.
Is my data used to train your AI models?
No. Your research data is never used to train our AI models. Each workspace is fully isolated. For Scale plan customers, we offer a separate data processing agreement (DPA) with additional contractual guarantees.
Do you offer nonprofit or academic pricing?
Yes. We offer 30% discounts for verified nonprofit organizations and academic institutions. Contact our team with proof of status and we will apply the discount to your account within one business day.
